How to play New Year’s Eve bingo
- Print one card per player. Every card in the set is different.
- Call the words in random order, such as “Confetti” or “Celebrate”. The caller screen on this page shows each word in big letters and remembers what was called; the PDF also has a caller’s list to cut up.
- Players cover each word on their card. The center square is free.
- Five in a row across, down or diagonally wins. Check the card against the called words.

Ideas for your New Year’s Eve bingo game
At a family New Year’s Eve party, bingo is a great way to fill the slow hour before the countdown. Play a round every 15 to 20 minutes and save the blackout game for the last stretch before midnight.
Teachers can use the same cards on the first day back in January as a calm, no-prep welcome activity, then follow up with the New Year goals bingo card for a quick goal-setting lesson.

Questions
How do I play right at midnight?
Start a blackout round about 20 minutes before midnight. If no one has a full card by the countdown, the player with the most squares marked wins.
Can young kids play?
Yes. The words are simple party words like confetti, balloons and countdown. The large print version is easiest for early readers.
Is there a version about resolutions?
Yes. The New Year goals bingo card has 32 small goals to complete through the year.
Are all the cards different?
Yes. Each card uses a different mix of words in a different order, so no two cards match.
