How to play Winter Holiday bingo

  1. Print one card per player. Every card in the set is different.
  2. Call the words in random order, such as “Lights” or “Pine Tree”. The caller screen on this page shows each word in big letters and remembers what was called; the PDF also has a caller’s list to cut up.
  3. Players cover each word on their card. The center square is free.
  4. Five in a row across, down or diagonally wins. Check the card against the called words.

About these cards

A winter holiday bingo that includes Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year words, so everyone in a classroom or office can play along.

The PDF has 30 different cards, two per page, plus a caller’s list; the large print PDF has one big card per page. Cards are free for home, classroom and group use.

Ideas for your Winter Holiday bingo game

This inclusive version is a good fit for public schools, libraries and workplaces where people celebrate different holidays in December. It has words for Christmas, Hanukkah (dreidel, menorah, latkes), Kwanzaa (kinara) and the new year, plus general winter fun.

Before the game, take a minute to ask players what each word means to them. A quick share about the menorah or the kinara turns the bingo round into a small, friendly lesson about each other’s traditions.

Questions

Can I add other celebrations?

Yes. Press “Edit the words” to add words for Las Posadas, the Winter Solstice or any tradition your group celebrates, then print a fresh set.

Why use this instead of Christmas bingo?

It includes words from several December holidays, so no one feels left out. It works well for diverse classrooms and office parties.

Which holidays are included?

Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year, plus general winter words like snowflake, mittens and hot cocoa.

Are all the cards different?

Yes. Each card uses a different mix of words in a different order, so no two cards match.
