Tips for hard word searches
Scan for the rarest letters first: a Q, X, Z or J narrows the search fast. For a long word, find every copy of its first letter, then check the eight directions around each one. Backwards words are easier to spot if you look for their last letters. On the giant puzzles, start with the longest words, because they have the fewest places to hide.
